The Six Enneads

I recommend to read The Six Enneads, the major writing of Plotinus, the neoplatonist mystic.

The story is about the last hours of the life of a man, in africa, because the gangrene in his leg. He is in front of his mortality.

Today people don't like to speak about death, but at each instant of my life I am mortal

My mortality is not outside me, but inside me. I am human because I am mortal.
